Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
I am currently leading a number of projects, workshops and producing training materials on best practice and positive interventions for accessible fieldwork

Mission
Knowledge about toileting and menstrual health management in the field is often shared informally, relying on the presence of women+ or menstruating colleagues who can provide advice when approached. However, new hires and students may not know who to ask, or may feel uncertain about how to advocate for their needs. Drawing on personal experience as an early-career scientist conducting research in remote Arctic locations, I run workshop sessions on best practices and positive interventions to support inclusive and prepared field teams. I particularly focus on menstruation and menstrual health, while also addressing communication around toileting needs and the availability of facilities. These discussion aim to provide practical guidance for scientists working in remote places, with the goal of improving preparation and reducing barriers for those new to fieldwork.
